Born Pretty Cameo Circle 3D Nail Art Metal Decoration

Today I have a product from Born Pretty store to show you. They are the gold circles surrounding the clear diamantes. They have pretty scalloped edges and add a pretty element to an otherwise plain diamanté. To use you apply your top coat and carefully place them before the top coat dries. They should then be stuck enough to wear or alternatively you can use glue. Nail colour is Pirate's Blood by Sea Siren Cosmetics.

You can purchase these from here and browse the Born Pretty Store to see all the other nail art products they have to offer. You can use my code TQX31 to receive 10% off your purchase.

This product was sent to me for an honest review. All opinions are my own. Please note computer monitors may vary in colour display.

An Monday - subtle/work appropriate theme - a day late

I'm a day behind but here is my Aussie Nails Monday subtle/work appropriate design. I chose my new favourite neutral OPI Don't Bossa Nova Me Around, I just love it. I stamped with Essie Penny talk and plate BM 314. I love subtle looks so really enjoyed this theme.

Five New Releases form Sayuri's Beyond The Shadows Collection

artificial lighting

I have five beautiful new release polishes to share today, these are a part of their new collection, Beyond the Shadows. They are available from Wednesday 30th April, 7:30pm AEST. Price: $9.95 each. Holos are $10.95 (this includes Love's Lustre, State of Radiance, and Kaleidoscopic). Whole collex is $79.95. You can purchase and browse Sayuri polishes on their website, or follow on Facebook to read the latest news.

The creative genius, Anthea, the face behind the Sayuri brand explains the collection inspiration.

The Beyond The Shadows collection was inspired by the different looks that many colours possess when exposed to sunlight versus the shadows. Each polish contains an effect or glitter that will really pop in the sunlight, and each name relates to the light in some way. Colour inspiration was drawn predominantly from Pantone’s fashion colours for 2014. The collection contains 9 polishes in total

I have 5 of the 9 to show you today. I did have problems with the weather so these photos are a mix of artificial and natural light to show you the true colours and features of the polishes.

First up is this beautiful blue/teal glitter crelly named Refraction. The base is more teal than the artificial lighting photos show, so I managed to capture some in natural light. This polish is full of glitter, there are deep blue small hexes, tiny holo silver hexes, with a holo shimmer running through the polish. Now while it's full of glitter it applies like a dream. It was simply a matter of painting two coats on. The dry time was great and the glitter required no fishing, the right amount came out on the brush every time.I also love that it only required one coat of top coat to make it smooth and glossy. So while the glitter is plentiful it didn't affect application at all.

WOWZERS. The second polish today is a stunner! This is State of Radiance, such an appropriate name :). The colour is beautiful, it's a pink berry red that looks more red in some lights and a hint of deep pink in others. Application was simple and the formula just wonderful. I am wearing three thin coats, I have a little visible nail line but that is very common in red polishes. As you can see it isn't even that noticeable in the photos. I love that this polish looks pretty in the shade and then it hits the sun and again, sorry, but wowzers! It's just gorgeous and sparkly. I love it!

Polish number 3 is much more subtle than State of Radiance but equally as beautiful. If you've been reading here awhile you'd know I love soft feminine neutral polishes. This polish named Archaic Light definitely fulfils my love of that type of polish. With a nude creme base it has subtle gold flakes, bronze glitter and small lavender flakes. All subtle but the colours pop enough to make it pretty and feminine. Application was again flawless and as easy as painting a coat on, allowing it to dry and painting another coat one. One coat of top coat and again it had a smooth and glossy finish. I know I will be wearing this one a lot.

Number 4 is a topper named Rainbow Shards. I don't often wear or purchase toppers but this one is gorgeous. I am wearing one thin coat over Zoya Pinta and honestly it's like I've dipped my nails in opal dust. The colours the iridescent shards reflect are stunning and really like the colours of an opal. Sometimes I find that toppers completely over power the polish underneath but Rainbow Shards enhances it, adding depth to a plain creme polish. The formula was excellent.

The last one I have to share today is Charmed Aurora. This is a pretty baby soft blue creme polish with a pink-red shimmer running through it. The shimmer is really visible on the nail which I love but completely camera shy in artificial light and only just hinted at the full effect in natural light. As a pastel creme application was flawless and I am wearing just two coats. There were no streaking issues and the shimmer really enhances the blue. A great creme polish with a little something extra, I love it!

I hope you've enjoyed a look into Sayuri's Beyond the Shadows Collection.

Arcane Lacquer - Dreary Days

Dreary  Days is a gorgeous polish from Arcane Lacquer. In a grey crelly base this polish has subtle small hex glitters in lavender and black with iridescent purple hexes and holo. It  is the perfect work friendly polish as the glitter is soft and subtle but still adds a pop of colour. Application was super easy and I wearing 3 thin coats with one coat of top coat. I just love the colours used and this is one of my favourite polishes as it's suitable for any occasion.

Poppies for Anzac Day

 "They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them."

Lest We Forget

colours: cream Powder Perfect Aquitaine, red butter London Pillar Box Red, black Zoya Raven.

Doggie Nail Art

Yesterday was 12 months since we had to put our furry baby to sleep. We miss him so much! I decided to do a dog design on my nails to acknowledge the day in my own way.

I used Zoya Raven as black, butter London Yummy Mummy for light brown and Kester Black French White. I made the paw print with a large and small dotting tool. I painted the bones on and used stripe decals to paint my lines. I love it and I love that nail art allows you to recognise a person, pet or event in your own way and in a way that only you know the meaning behind them.

Femme Fatale Cosmetics Gentlemen's Scuffle

Today I have a gorgeous new holo from Femme Fatale Cosmetics to share with you. Unfortunately we haven't had sun so I can't show you the full holo power. Gentlemen's Scuffle is a gorgeous teal with a lighter green shimmer. I love holos with shimmer as they look just as good out of the sun as they do in it. The colour of this polish is really beautiful. I am wearing two coats with one coat of top coat. Application was super easy and I know I'm going to get a lot of wear from this polish.

I added a zig zag pattern using a England Encore Margot as the base colour.

Have a great day, Tx

Taupe Autumn dot nail design

I really am enjoying Autumn colours, the taupes and browns out this season are so pretty. For this design I used Zoya Normani on my pointer and pinkie nails. My middle nail is Bella Belle Golden Helm.My ring had a black base and dots in OPI My Vampire is Buff, OPI Taupeless Beach, Zoya Ziv and Zoya Normani. It's a simple design but I think it looks great :)

Have a fantastic day, Tx

Zoya Brooklyn, Hudson and Dillon taped design

I love the whole Awaken collection but these three are my favourites. I used Brooklyn a beautiful soft gold as my base colour and placed a striping tape X on all my nails when the polish have dried. I then painted the bottom and side parts of the X alternatively, removed the tape and voila a smart and fun nail design. I top coated and I was done. Hudson is a lovely mid pastel purple and Dillon a really pretty mid pastel green. I love these colours together.

Hope you all had a fabulous weekend and don't forget to enter the giveaways by clicking
on the giveaway tab above. Tx.
