Butter London Scouse

This beautiful blue is Butter London's Scouse. This has been one of my lemmings for a little while but it popped up on an Australian shopping site and I couldn't believe my luck. It was originally only sold as a Dillard's exclusive and I didn't hold high hopes of ever finding one. Now it's in my hands it hasn't disappointed at all. It is a unique glass fleck royal blue with shimmers of purple.

In application it was a little on the sheer side but 3 coats gave a great opaque finish. Apart from that application was a breeze with quick drying time between coats. This is one of those polishes that change every time you look at it, showing off the flecks of purple or sometimes looking just a majestic blue. I just love it!

This close up shows the flecks of purple.

Aussie Nails Monday - Black and White

Hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend! I have a very naughty puppy/ old dog who think he's a puppy that didn't think sleep in's were a good idea today :(

Aussie Nail Monday's theme this week is black and white. There is no doubt about it black and white always look so elegant on nails. I thought I took the easy option and opted to stamp them, but stamping is still not my friend and it turned into a HUGE job. Still I'm happy with the end result.

The black polish is Orly Liquid Vinyl and the white Zoya Purity, I stamped with Konad polishes and the stamp is Bundle Monster 314.

I hve another black and white challenge coming up later in the week, so will have to put my thinking cap back on.

Enjoy the public holiday and hope you all got a  sleep in :)

Butter London Rosie Lee

I simply love Butter London polishes and Rosie Lee was no different. It is such a unique and unusal colour, leading from a dark dusty pink into bronze. The glitter is just enough and the formula is superb. The solid colour is Bourjois Beige Glamour and I used two coats on all nails. I then added just one coat of Rosie Lee.

It's a different look for me but I just love it.

It's been a busy weekend here but it's a lovely rainy day today and I'm looking forward to (of course) doing my nails and watching some trashy tv.

Enjoy your Sunday!

Poseidon - Shades of Phoenix

Poseidon is another awesome polish from the new Indie brand Shades of Phoenix. This polish is just so beautiful and even better in real life. It's one of those polishes where you just can't stop looking at your nails. I know already this will be one of my most used polishes.

I applied just one coat of Poseidon over two coats China Glaze four leaf clover and I was in heaven. This polish has so much depth! I'm usually not a fan of bar glitters but they do suit this polish and are covered nicely by the gorgeous green. As with Zeus this was a dream to apply! There was no fishing for glitter and it covered nicely with just the one coat.

Photo overkill below but I just can't get enough of this polish!

Poseidon retails at $9.00 and can be purchased at their etsy shop Shades of Phoenix

Shades of Phoenix - Zeus

This stunning glitter is from the amazing new Australian Indie Shades of Phoenix

Released just last Saturday this is definitely a brand to watch. This glitter is called Zeus and has awesome matte white hex glitter which I love in a polish, gorgeous iridescent purple and it is full of silver sparkle. It was a dream to apply, with me only to have to work two of the larger hexes into place with the brush. Here it is applied over Opi My Boyfriends Scales Walls, and I used two coats of Zeus over my index and ring fingers. The dots on the pointer and pinkie are Essie She's Picture Perfect, Essie Nothing Else Metals and Essie Lilacism.

Zeus

Here two coats of Zeus were applied over Nubar Lavender. This photo clearly shows the awesome glitter that makes Zeus unique to anything else I have in my stash.

Zeus retails at $9.00 and can be purchased at their etsy shop Shades of Phoenix

Zoya Blu, Neely Jacqueline geometric

I am in love with this Zoya Lovely Collection, the colours are so soft and dreamy. For this mani I used all the creams and they were a dream to work with. If you've never bought Zoya this could be a great start up collection for you to try.

So the three creams
Jacqueline is a gorgeous yellowy cream or deep ivory. It is more in the ivory family and as someone that does not like yellow on me I adore this shade. It does seem similar to Lime Crime Milky way so I will do a comparison soon.

Neely is a beautiful soft pastel green leaning towards a greyer green than the obvious mint pastels. This is unique in my stash, I have many blue/green soft pastels but not in this tone.

Blu I've already talked about but it is gorgeous and a dream to work with.

This mani is easy to do, you paint your base colour and top coat it, give it a good amount of time to dry. Then you just tape off sections, I just use scotch tape. You need to first put the tape on your skin to lose some of the stickiness and then apply. If you don't leave your base colour long enough to dry you will run into problems where the tape pulls it off. I love geometric patterns and I didn't start out with any great plans just applied tape where I wanted to.

Enjoy and look out for a small giveaway!

Have a happy Wednesday :)

Essie Butler,Please! & Nails Inc Sprinkles gradient

How gorgeous is this colour? Essie Butler, Please is simply beautiful, vibrant and really pops when on your nails. I have tried it once before and the terrible formula turned me off. I added Seche Restore and the formula improved dramatically, to me it;s still not as good as the majority of Essie polishes but it is 100% better than what it was.

I had a nail block on what to add to it, maybe because it is just gorgeous on it's own. I rifled through my polish drawers and spotted Nails Inc Pudding Lane and I'm so pleased I did. I decided to do a gradient and I love how it turned out! Another photo heavy post but I just love this look!
